The car came in for a service and the records showed the timing belt was two years overdue. Behind the cover the belt was glazed with fine cracks across the teeth, and coolant had started to weep from the water pump.
We fitted a complete kit: belt, tensioner, idler pulley and a new water pump, then refilled and bled the cooling system. The owner drove a courtesy car for the day and collected at five.
